Southeast Asian Games tennis double gold medalist Cecil Mamiit will lead a
two-day tennis clinic, dubbed "Cebuana Lhuillier Tennis Clinic" as a way of
expressing gratitude to the countless fans who supported the RP team in the Games.
Together with the gold medal winners PJ Tierro and Johnny Arcilla, Mamiit will
lend his expertise to aspiring tennis players in Manila Polo Club in McKinley
Road, Forbes Park, Makati at 4pm tomorrow.
The team will also hold a clinic at the Philippine Columbian Association (PCA)
in Plaza Dilao, Quirino Avenue, Manila from 2:00 to 4:30 pm on Saturday. Both
clinics are open to the public.
Students will be able to play one-on-one with Mamiit and company while being
rewarded with prizes if they win points against their idols.
The team will likewise instructional demos and give inspirational talks to the
students with the assistance of SEAG tennis coach Martin Misa. Beeyong Sison
will serve as the clinic's Facilitator together with Subic Bay tennis coaches,
George Zahorsky and Steve Tourdo author of "Unlimited Doubles".
